How Much Longer Will Landline Phones Be Needed?

Not many years ago the first landlines were released and they took communication to the next level. But as everything these phones started to develop calls got a lot clearer and we could call overseas destinations for a lot less.

Then the mobile phones get released and caused a big shakeup in the phone market, a few years later kids of all ages are now carrying phones. Technology is just developing at great speeds in these handsets and mobile phones now allow us to connect to the internet, take pictures and shoot videos. The calls are also getting a lot cheaper and you can get signal almost any where in the world.

So do we really need landlines anymore? I do believe that the answer to this question is both yes and no, so lets have a look at the reasons why
1) Initially businesses will always need land line telephones, they will need these to transfer calls, track calls and do a lot more. Although mobile phones are good I do not think they can be used for business reasons.
2) On the other hand are landlines really useful in the home anymore? I mean cell phone calls are just getting cheaper and cheaper so why get a land line? The negative thing about landlines, especially if you are using a cordless phone is that you cant be too far away from the actual unit otherwise you will lose signal.

In the end only time will tell what is going to develop. Lets wait to see what happens in the next few years.
